Amelie Hüneke

My painting technique is a mixture between acrylic, pigments and oil colour on canvas. Besides brushes I use circle, tape, ruler and crayons. My formal language is focused on certain motifs such as circle, cross, sphere, triangle and square, which all have universal value for me. Thus these forms represent the immaterial spiritual legitimacies. In their timeless meaning they serve as a kind of inner remembrance and connect the visible with the invisible. In my work I want to create a transcendental space where someone can dive into. In that way the viewer opens himself inwardly to the painting, hopefully. The combination of abstract forms, symmetry and colour fields create centrality on each canvas and reflect the process of painting as a practice of meditation.
