Wieland Payer

Wieland Payers pastels, prints and objects are influenced by German Romanticism and root in observations through his journeys and hiking tours. The wilderness is the base of his imagery which he sets in contrast with abstract elements. Here his Science - Fiction enthusiasm, the fascination for early 20th century utopian movements and Advantages like Russian Constructivism come to expression.

The most recent series about Iceland reduces the scenery towards new minimalistic but also playful results.
